Report and Support is an online platform which anyone can use to inform the University of incidents of unacceptable behaviour, i.e. sexual violence, domestic abuse, discrimination, harassment, hate crime, physical assault, bullying, spiking.
Anyone can use Report and Support to:
- Request Contact from an Advisor form: this connects you to specially trained Student Wellbeing Services advisors, who will inform you of your options for reporting and/or support, and connect you to relevant specialist services if requested
- Submit an anonymous report: submitting an anonymous report can be a helpful first step towards seeking support or reporting. There are sometimes barriers which prevent people from coming forward with their name; we ask for specific details which will help us collate and evaluate data surrounding these issues. We use this to develop services, campaigns and University strategy with the aim of both prevention and improved responses to these kinds of incidents.
Note that we cannot generally act on anonymous reports – for further information about this, see the page on anonymous reporting.
Note that we cannot guarantee confidentiality for anyone named in a form if there are risk concerns, whether the report is anonymous or not.
Report and Support is not a direct route to formally report via the Student/Staff Disciplinary process, but advisors who respond to your support can briefly outline reporting options and connect you to relevant services to take a report forward, if required.
